Bioshock?

Hearing a lot of good things about this. Downloaded the demo, great graphics and a decent story line.

Anyone play it? I had a fast link for you guys and it died already.

i have been trying to get it to run right for 2 days, ran multiple nvidia drivers, tried 2 different demo downloads, just ain't working here.

i did have it sorta working yesterday, but my FPS were really bad.

from what i saw it looks really good, maybe i will just wait until i upgrade my system to play the full game

what are your system specs and resolution ya running in game ?

did you get the beta drivers that came out yesterday too? They are released just mostly for this.

SB live with 5.1 surround speakers.

yeah I've heard its pretty decent... but I think Crysis will whip the floor with it!

Is there a faster place to download from. It may just be the time of day that I'm trying, but really slow. I did rent it for XBox 360 last night and it looks great on there.

Seems like a good game. I remember seeing a trailer a while back and liked it.

Hmm, a lot of people are complaining because it requires online activation for a single player game. What if someone doesn't have Internet access? Oh well, 95% of the people are probably mad because it's going to be harder to crack.

updated direct X and still crashes, went to reinstall the demo 1 more time, and AVG found a trojan, fixed it but i said the hell with it, i am done trying to play this crap.

i have read about false positives with AVG, but i ain't taking any chances.

plus i have read that you can only install the retail game twice before it is locked or some crap, the hell with that ********.

BF2 and games are the way which I'm sure its gamespy related which through them thats how players are tracked as in where they are playing for instance through Game-monitor.com and other places.

your very true about the false positives with AVG.. I checked the download's from 3 different places and its all clean, scanned with NOd32, Avast, and Trend Micro and nothing came up so its safe.

But as for the locking stuff no idea, I'm kinda not sure what your problem with the playing it is though... very odd.

Two completely different games.

Bioshock is more of a survival horror shooter with RPG elements. The game is more about story and atmosphere than online multiplayer (it has none) or run-and-gun gameplay.
