Its that time of year (graduation)and im gonna build a new cpu (yes my 900 is a little outdated:P)

    im looking at
    1.33 t-bird
asus A7M266 (unless abit has anything better to offer once they release their ddr board)
    256mb pc2X00 from mushkin.com/memman.com
    imb deskstar
    antec case
    sb live/x-gamer

Can anyone shed some light on a good video card (im looking for a gf2 32mb range)

or any other suggestions (ie. good ddr ram etc.)

btw what exactly are the axia batch amd chips?
    thanks

Hi! Don´t let tigeruppercut hear that you upgrade from 900 to 1333+. He just blame me for doin that.

I think the "best" mobo is the gigabyte 7DXR, space for one more ddr stick and raid (or 2ide channels more) than the asus!!! I love it, if I could affort it I directly would trade my KT7 and PC133 ram for it!

GPU: Any 32MB DDR GF² GTS: asus or hercules rock solid!

DDR: I do not exactly if there are any CL2 PC2100 but take the fastest min. CL2.5

axia: ? better oc´able core (but not mine)

    happy shopping

    Ok...couple other things

fyi corsair makes pc2400 ddr CL2 ram...looks like a winner to me 256mb for $135

as for the gf2 asus has a pure/deluxe. The deluxe has the TV in/out option. Is that worth the extra $40?

As for the gigabyte...whats the deal with this? i've always thought of asus/abit to be the best. Anyone know when abit is releasing their 266/ddr board?

    thanks again

Note to you, unless your doing some crazy ass hardcore gaming, you don't need a 1.33 processor...Your 900mhz is more then killer to last you about a good year and a half for gaming purposes...Wait and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to pull off a 2ghz processor if you wait.

Haha, ture. I love this comment. Anyways, but I think terran is right, I heard that AMD is going to catch up little later in the summer, so why don't you hold off a bit and upgrade to higher speed since you are going to spend some money.
And yea, i heard that the 32MB DDR GF² GTS rocks.
