[Help] BT Home Hub (Networking)

Hiya guys, heard good stuff about this site

Ok, my problem is I have a BT Home Hub in my home downstaits in the front room, my brother has his pc downstairs in that room with a wireless setup using a Belkin adapter.

My computer is upstairs in the back room, and I too am using a wireless belkin adapter, but my signal is constantly Low, and something affects my gameplay every so offen and im sure it's todo with the Wireless signal.

I have been thinking of routing a cable from my pc directly into the Hub and having a direct connection, but thats about 15 metres, so my question is!

Is it possible to go longer than 10 metres and still be ok? Or is there any other solution you can think of besides moving my pc hehe. I need a constant connection which does not drop due to gaming requirements.

Ethernet has a max distance of 100 meters.
