    Question High PING Problem

    Hello,
I have been reading the topics on this problem, but haven't find anything that would help me. So i made a new thread.
The problem is concerning one game - RPGwo Online, but also appears on CS.
I'll try to give as much info i can. Hope someone will help.
    Here it is:

When I get on the game with game client the ping is like:

    14:24.57 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 1313 MS
    14:24.58 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 1344 MS
    14:25.00 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 797 MS
    14:25.02 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 1531 MS
    14:25.04 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 453 MS
    14:25.07 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 657 MS
    14:25.09 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 563 MS
    14:25.10 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 172 MS
    14:25.18 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 6469 MS
    14:25.20 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 703 MS
    14:25.22 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 688 MS
    14:25.24 : PING ROUNDTRIP : 531 MS

normal and constant for me was 141 MS
I don't know when or how did that change.
Here's a screenshot when i tried to PING the game server:

I have tried to scan for spyware, viruses, reinstalled the game client few times.
Is it my PC's fault or ISP?
This is messy, sorry, but can anyone help?

Do a tracert to your game server. It may be that some intermediate router along the signal route is faulty.

Your modem at hop 1 shows some electrical noise affecting it. Make sure your modem is placed a few feet away from other electrical devices.

After relocating your modem, do the tracert again.

It is an internal modem, i cant relocate it, only the things around it, but that are only speakers and headphones

Send this tracert to your ISP. The fault may be in your telephone line or at the connection box outside your home, as shown in hop 2.

    EDIT:
If you have done another tracert and hop 1 shows 8ms and hop 2 shows 7ms for all 3 values, then your ping time to your game server should be normal.

i just did some tracerts, most of them were good
    but some was like:
    1 9 ms 8 ms 10 ms 81-7-69-1.ip.zebra.lt [81.7.69.1]
    2 * 7 ms * 212-59-31-225.ip.zebra.lt [212.59.31.225]

Seems you may be having a faulty connection line. Check line condition from splitter to wall jack. Could be due to loose connection, stray wire, or moisture ingress at the terminal box outside the house.

I haven't found a solution to this problem yet.
Have called my ISP, they said everything is fine from their point of view, the connection is good.
I have tried to connect another modem, ZTE xdsl - external instead of my internal one, there was still a problem, so it's not my modem's fault.
My phone line (the wire) is new i bought it couple of months ago. ISP consultant said it's nothing wrong with frequency distributor (i think it's called like that in english), cause then i wouldnt even connect to the internet.
Can it be hardware's fault like a CPU cooler, it sometimes make too much noise, i have cleaned it for a couple of times already.
Anyway, what hardware can influence my modem's connectivity? Or maybe it's software's fault? Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Open up the wall jack cover of the telephone point to make sure there is no exposed wire sticking out and unconnected. Another member recently found this as a cause to his poor line

Changed the phone line from the wall jack to frequency distributor, no changes with PING.
Would that "wire sticking out" not let to connect to the Internet?

    What firewall are you using?

A loose wire may just be disruptive to signals, but the line would still be connected.

Turn off Windows Firewall and download and use this free firewall:

What speed did you pay your ISP to give you?

Do the TCP Analyzer and post your results.
