    Cablenuts Settings!!!

    hey guys, hi all, im new on this, this days i was playing call of duty2, and i was kicked from all serves because my ping, everybody has a ping between 50 and 110 , and i have a ping between 275- 300. a friend recomendme use cablenut

    so i download it but i dont kwot what settings put in there

    i have a P4 with 512 ram, my conection is a broadband

    384 Downstream (Kbps)/128 Upstream (Kbps)

    with 2 dinamics IP

    and i have winxp service pack2

    everything u need to help me let me know.

    thanks guys i appreciate your help

    these my results

    TCP options string = 020405ac01010402
    MTU = 1492
    MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
    MSS = 1452
    MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
    Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 65535
    RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
    Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 65535

    Note: TCP 1323 Options need to be enabled for RWIN over 2^16 (65535). Windows 9x might also need the MS Vtcp386 fix.
    For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
    Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
    511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
    255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
    127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
    63888 (MSS x 44)
    bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

    Your TCP Window limits you to: 2621.4 kbps (327.675 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
    Your TCP Window limits you to: 1048.56 kbps (131.07 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
    MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
    Time to live left = 118 hops
    TTL value is ok.
    Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
    Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
    IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0)

    what settings shoul i put???

    Cablenut won't help with ping to me that means to me that the line quailty of your connection is bad ,or that server is very far way from ya. Do you have router? If so make sure the fimware is up to date if not. What modem do you own model number manufacture you could have some ports not open that could be what is causing the bottleneck ,or at least not helping.

    Any software firewalls running? This ping issue could be too that the ISP is having promblems ,or something on route to that server is down.

    however try thease These have been known to effect some DSL connections. If you see some minor issues, blank out these settings:

    MaxNormLookupMemory
    MaxFreeTcbs
    MaxHashTableSize
    FastSendDatagramThreshhold
    and
    EnableFastRouteLookup » might interfere with other network settings.

    DefaultReceiveWindow = 65536
    DefaultSendWindow = 32768
    DisableAddressSharing = 1
    InitialLargeBufferCount = 200
    InitialMediumBufferCount = 480

    LargeBufferSize = 819200
    MaxFastTransmit = 64000
    MediumBufferSize = 150400
    Priority Boost = 0
    SmallBufferSize = 12800
    TransmitWorker = 32
    FastSendDatagramThreshhold = 4096
    EnableFastRouteLookup = 1
    EnablePMTUDiscovery = 1
    IgnorePushBitsOnReceives = 0
    GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize = 29200
    MaxFreeTcbs = 8000
    MaxHashTableSize = 16384
    MaxNormLookupMemory = 5000000
    SackOpts = 1
    SynAttackProtect = 1
    Tcp1323Opts = 0
    TcpLogLevel = 1
    TcpMaxDupAttacks = 3
    TcpMaxHalfOpen = 100

    This is Speedguide... Use our optimizer.

    Also, don't expect the most incredible pings with that connection.
