after apllying the tweaks here(and i am completely new at this), im haveing these problems my system wont turn off anymore just keeps rebooting. i looked around for help for this and a site told me to turn off automatic reboot in system restore. know my PC doesnt reboot but it doesnt exactly turn off iether know im getting this error message.

ive restored everything(i think) Reg wise. only thing im not sure about, is what the tcp optimizer did and this SP2 tweak on this site Event ID 4226 Patcher v2.11 did. but i noticed the problems when restarting after this patch.

is there anywhay to fix without completely restoring my PC, i have a gateway so im sick of doing that all the time.

what windows version you have if xp you can try an repair install?

I believe its XP home, but not sure its a gateway media center edition. it didnt come with a disc. it comes with a partitioned drive that a can format from. but as far as i can tell theres no repair feature just a complete reinstall, wich i realy dont want to do again.

Can you boot to safemode (with no network support), and use the backup of tcpip.sys you were supposed to have made according to instructions on this site?

Following instructions is a must when tweaking.

Anywhays, i admit i wasnt carefull enough i thought i had everything backed up corectly for the most aside from tcpip.sys, it actualy didnt say how to back it up just says its a good idea but the program can reverse the changes. know with that said, im still getting the blue screen and this code

but once it didnt actualy happen, it was last night it turned off and acted normal but today its doing it again. as for safe mode, still trying to figure out how to boot in that my gateway bios screen confuses me. but since the tcpip.sys problem i geuss that doesnt matter im probablie gonna have to reformatt again, but atleast this time its my error and not my stupid computers, i swear this gateway is a piece of( you fill in the rest)
