hey guys. I've got a question and hope you might help me. Look at those settings...
MTU = 1420
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1380
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 1460
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 1460
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
507840 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
253920 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 4)
126960 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
63480 (MSS x 46)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 58.4 kbps (7.3 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 23.36 kbps (2.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 119 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0)
maybe you can tell me what the reason is ? I'm from germany but i think this doesn't matter anyway. (don't wonder about my speech)
I tried nearly every tweaking tool mentioned by friends or on the page but the settings won't grow -_- The only thing that changes is the MTU and RWIN if I put these settings much more down as now.. so please help me. I'm using a cable internet provider that is offered here in germany (1024/128`)
