Hard drive problem...someone si eating my mp3s!

Alright, a little background information. I use and will forever love Foobar2000 however, something fishy is going on. My mp3s that I listen to, often get corrupted and for some insane reason cannot be played on foobar or any other mp3 player. I can't even access the file. Is it possible that Foobar is doing this? Here's an example. Recently, I fell in love with the song Evolution by Ayumi Hamasaki, particularly the Time is Pop remix...however, one morning I awoke to a corrupt version of this file and files that contain her name. Any idea who is doing this? I've ruled out the possibility of the underwear gnomes and have frequently disk checked for errors...to no avail.

    Thanks in advanced

i've been using foobar2000 for several months now....downloaded 1000's of MP3's with no problems at all. i would say do a virus scan as well....do they get corrupted when your doing a specific thing? or one day you listen to them and they are corrupted?

the only time a file won't play for me is when the file didn't download correctly or something.

Probably a virus or trogan opening and messing with the files since it sees you accessing them constantly.

If you're running an AV program and it hasn't caught anything and doesn't when you scan than it's probably gotten that also, maybe format time.
