    Post Half/Full Duplex Mode

How come, when using half duplex my speed doubles? When i have auto mode set on both network card and adapter in windows my speed is above 200kbps,(And diagnostic tool show half duplex link), When i use 10full mode on both card and adapter,(And diagnostic show full duplex link) i get like 50kbps-100kbps, what i know of full duplex is that is should improve and you can receive/send both ways.

Well the full duplex really only applies to your LAN, from what I know most cable modems only use 1/2 duplex. So instead of auto sence which sounds like a slow down in your case use the 1/2 duplex .. think of it like up connection searching for DNS VS. using a static IP, searching takes longer. Just tell it to use 1/2 all is nice and well.

If your on cable, it's b/c cable systems are restricted to 10mbps at half-duplex.

Half Duplex allows only TX or RX at once... Full Duplex allows both. Chances are your modem isn't full duplex therefore running it at full causes data loss.
