okay I get my dsl conn. in two weeks, answer me this.

Is there a big performance increase from a 10 mbs nic to a 10/100 nic. I have an el cheapo realtek 10 meg card and a 3com 10/100. duh the obvious choice seems to be the 3com i'm just wondering about performance difference. By the way i,ve been waiting fours years for dsl. :0)

Prolly not b/c u will never reach 10mbps, let alone 100. U might see a sligh speed increase or ping performance increase, but I doubt it. I changed my SMC card to an Intel and saw no diff what so ever. U can always try both and compare. Besides, ur provider will prolly bring u a NIC.

I have two puters and two cards a 60 bucks 3com and a 27 bucks linsk I tried t to swictch them and there is absolutely no difference the 3 com is a 10 the linsk is 10\100 they perform exactly the same
