When posting xDSL installation dates, please include in your post the year and what calendar you are using so that we can be appropriately disrespectful.

Package: Bellsouth Fastaccess ADSL in South FL. I hear they are really good in this area.

1500/256 is the speed, free modem and installation, 2 months free, Efficient Networks 3060 internal PCI Modem (Ethernet modem costs $150. I'd rather save that up toward my new 1.2 Ghz Comp I'll be getting soon after).

The year is 2000 on the Christian Calendar, Kip.

40 a month is what bellsouth charges but you have to pay an extra 10 for UUNET so 50 and btw you can get the alcatel speedtouch for free you just have to call and have a tech come out and they are pretty cool about it ....tell them that the usb wont work because you have a soundblaster card ...gets em everytime because the crappy efficient modems they send out have problems sharing the IRQ with the soundblaster ....on the other hand Bellsouth has made a contract with alcatel and is no longer using the efficient modems so you might get the alcatel usb if they arent sending out the left over efficient
