Two Wireless Routers Ok?

My DSL modem is on one end of my house, along with a wireless router. I have run an ethernet cable to the other end of the house because the wireless signal is too weak to reach. Can I put a second wireless router on the other end of the house, to get full coverage for the whole house? Will the wireless card on my laptop automoatically pick up the strongest signal? Will the wireless security encryption consuse things?

yeah you could set up a sepearte wap for braoder range everythig should work very simply i'm sure in the manual it will say or show how to set that up or companies website.

I suppose it's too late now, but you would be better of with a Wireless AP

You can definitely do this--just make sure you set the SSIDs the same so that your wireless card will "roam" without having to re-establish the signal. Also, set the channels at opposite ends of the spectrum (i.e. 1 and 11) to prevent crosstalk between the two points.
