    help!

    Alright, my ram is fubared.. im RMA'ing it. But i dont know HOW / WHY it got fubared.. like thats my 2nd ram RMA. Do you think it has to do something with my PSU??? or maybee i have dirty power..

    what do you guys think?

    ABIT NF7-S V2.0
    AMD ATHLON XP 2500+ @ stock
    THERMALRIGHT SLK-800 w/ Tt Smartfan 2
    OCZ 2x256 megs of PC3200 EL DDR RAM [dual channel style]
    MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 meg
    Maxtor 40 gig ATA 133 HD
    Antec 400 watt PSU (not sure if its truepower or whatever, its massa's old one)


    Everything is stock, except VDIMM, which i have upped to 2.7 so i can run at 333MHZ...

    Highest VCORE ive gone up to is 1.75...

    Your board may be doing something funky @ 2.7 V, aswell running your ram out of spec is hit or miss, ocz can has a tendancy to be either bad or good. i've had problems aswell with my OCZ, had to RMA some of the stuff a while back but the new stick has been fine for me.

    i ran it on a friends computer, he has a p4 2.4C and some ASUS board... and memtest failed asapzors..

    why would you run DDR400 memory @ 333mhz and increase the voltage

    memtest failed... i dont have another computer ATM so i must run this one... so ill just up the voltage until its stable...

    Preet I read that your timings on the OCZ pc3200 are supposed to be

    2-2-3-6-1T

    3200 Platinum = 2-2-3-5 1T

    I got those from overclockers cafe.

    OCZ informed me i was supposed to run at 2-3-3-6.. and that still failed... so...

    /shrug

    They are gonna advance RMA i think.
