time for a new video card, suggestions?

my radeon9500 pro has issues that I cant resolved with my abit ic7. My time is limited and has run out, having exhausted all known cures.

The video card is FINE, just issues with the chipset it appears.

I'm looking to spend between 100-170ish. It cant be a radeon9500 or radeon9600 though. I was hoping someone would have some suggestions?

unless I discover that the radeon9800 pro aiw is a kicka55 encoder built-in, then i'll probably go that route. I already have 200 budgeted and spent on an external encoder. However, I can still return that.

I dont game too often, but I like crisp sharp graphics when I do. So, i'm willing to pay.

that would kick ass. nothing pci will do that, nor will any usb solutions. only my dazzle hollywood_dv will do it, but it cost me 216. Take that back and sell the radeon9500pro, the radeon9800 pro aiw would cost me almost nothing!

I'm not sure if the issues were resolved with the 9600pro? I'll have to check it out.
