    how do i disable Windows XP Logo testing

    I want to do a coplue of updates is there anyway to diable this? did not pass Windows XP Logo testing i hit ok then it says a required file did not copy. i was trying to install directx 9a

    I'd download the DirectX 9 redistributable version instead of the web install.

    Does it tell you which file did not copy?

    BEFORE YOU TRY THIS, BACKUP YOUR SYSTEM.

    - Rename c:\windows\system32\catroot2 to c:\windows\system32\catroot2old and reboot.

    - If that does not work, you should try restarting Cryptographic Services in Windows XP. Start > Run > services.msc > Cryptographics Services > Right-click on it > Select Restart

    Thanks burke, I had disabled crytografic, just reenabled it and directx9a installed.
