Some of the iPad range is on a newer chip than others, so I would look to see when the tablet you want was updated last. It can be confusing, apple also has their new M1 chips that are probably a lot more powerful getting added into the tablets.

Thats 100 bucks over your budget but its decent.

In the 400 dollar range everything is old CPUs or Celerons. Even for a little **** box for watching videos I'd want an ssd and like Philip said you want 8 GB of ram.

I would find a place that lests you customize a build and drop the intel CPU for a Ryzen 5 3600 and upgrade to a 2070. Buying a 2060 right now is gonna mean that you will have to drop the graphics down on modern games, even at 1080p.

Make sure teh CPU aux connection is on good. Its sounding like the old PSU took out something when it failed. Though a single short beep is usually a sound for successful posting. I'd try different RAM or a different video card if possible.

Do you mean the physical lock or the button that you push to lock/unlock the door?

I have a 2006 and replaced the entire control button thingy for the locks, found it on amazon with a video to install it.

I'm currently on pace for leaving my house once every 45 days. Fortunately bought toilet paper and food days before the panic. Sounds like things are getting out of hand, have heard 2 stories of power company workers being attacked in CA.

Besides traditional generators, battery units like Tesla's Powerwall, and LG's RESU line would offer a backup solution, but all would cost around 8-10k installed.

Never heard of the toothpaste one. I did try coke once, that didn't help. I might try dipping a couple wrenches in vinegar for a couple days.
