Been a long damn time

I can't remember the last time I posted here, and I'm too lazy to search. Too many changes in life to list.

What's up SG?

I think you can pick up a 2000-2005 Silverado (stay away from 1999, and run from anything earlier) in that range that hasn't been abused. I've been in charge of maintenance of a couple of decent size fleets, and Chevy has proven to be slightly more reliable in the long haul than the Fords. My sugges...

I had Directv for a year with no phone line, 3 sat boxes and no issues. Order pay-per-view with your pc, if you like. There was a time (don't know if it's still the case) when the phone was used to upload ppv information to them for billing purposes.

Corporate compensation packages rely heavily on bonus payouts, not always tied to company performance. The lump sum payment is a way of deferring salary in a great many cases. Though not on the same scale, my standard of living is reliant on this year end check. Those calling for their cancellation,...

Easto,

I'm in the port business, so I'd be working on the waterfront in San Pedro. Seal Beach is very expensive, no? I'd heard that Orange County is the place to be, but also that there are some *OK* areas within Pedro itself.

Unholy,

It's about $282 Billion a year. I had to redo the numbers. Just out of curiosity, I did the math on what it would cost us to provide Americans with free gas. We used about 377 million gallons last year, at about $3 a gallon averaged out across all grades. That's approx $1.1 Billion. But if you look at it on a barrel per year basis of oil, we use 11.2 barre...

My better half and I are going under the needle in the next couple of months, and I really want to make the design uniquely mine.
