i have 16/2 here..i paid 74 bucks for JUST internet after the bs feels. i don't have cable tv so they charge more (claim it's a package discount applied when you have tv but that's a matter of perspective)..

my buddy has one. nice little machine. i wasn't a fan of the buttons on the side of the touchpad but he said it was pretty easy to get used to. he does light ruby on rails development on it and it's fine but it's obviously no speed demon. amazing deal at $225! :)

good question. i imagine microsoft gives deep "discounts" to keep them as a customer but it's still an interesting thought. given microsoft's annual income, i doubt it'd be much of a drop in the bucket relative to either of the big bills passed recently though. still an interesting q.
