Does any one know good settings/tweaks to get the most out of your upload speeds?

Your upload speed is not really tweakable, if your are using 2K or XP you can set the DefaultSendWindow value to help optimize it but upload is capped by your ISP. If your RWIN is too high it can adversely effect your upload and remember that your upload is advertised in kilobits but shown in kilobytes when actually uploading.:) :D

Thank you for replying... Has anyone given consideration to creating a tweak that would allow a connection to get the upload speed you are paying for?

I already answered that...... DefaultSendWindow, but it's only in 2K & XP. Also are you sure you are not confusing kilobits & kilobytes?:) :D

Help me understand my qustion a little better I use XP pro ...how to and what settings would be recommend?
Thank you again,:)
This is my present settings:
TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 52 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

OK most likely it's 1500/256, use the following settings in CableNut:
DefaultReceiveWindow = 192512
DefaultSendWindow = 16384
DisableAddressSharing = 1
InitialLargeBufferCount = 100
InitialMediumBufferCount = 240
InitialSmallBufferCount = 320
LargeBufferSize = 81920
MaxFastTransmit = 64000
MediumBufferSize = 15040
PriorityBoost = 0
SmallBufferSize = 1280
TransmitWorker = 32
FastSendDatagramThreshold = 4096
EnableFastRouteLookup = 1
EnablePMTUDiscovery = 1
IgnorePushBitsOnReceive = 0
GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize = 64240
MaxFreeTcbs = 8000
MaxHashTableSize = 16384
MaxNormLookupMemory = 5000000
SackOpts = 1
SynAttackProtect = 1
Tcp1323Opts = 0
TcpLogLevel = 1
TcpMaxDupAcks = 2
TcpMaxHalfOpen = 100
TcpMaxHalfRetried = 80
TcpRecvSegmentSize = 1460
TcpSendSegmentSize = 1460
TcpTimedWaitDelay = 30
TcpUseRFC1122UrgentPointer = 0
TcpWindowSize = 64240
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server = 20
MaxConnectionsPerServer = 10
DefaultTTL = 64
DisableUserTOSSetting = 0
TcpMaxDataRetransmissions = 6
DefaultTOSValue = 60
Also do the following:
1. Under your LAN connection - properties - general tab, uninstall all the protocols there that you do not need.
2. Open IE and select tools - internet options - connections - LAN settings, make sure NOTHING there is checked.
3. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC from the manufacturer. Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it is ISP dependent unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL (the instructions are in my Help & Tips link (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?s=&postid=643301#post643301)). If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware.
4. Clear your temporary internet files.
5. Power cycle your modem, unplug it for atleast 15 seconds.
6. Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot (http://beam.to/spybotsd), anything checked in red is spyware and safe to remove.
Also do the faster web page tweak in my Help & Tips link. You need to also keep in mind that your upload cap is 256 kilobits or 32 kilobytes, when you upload a file to someone it will be shown in kilobytes, so you should be close to 32.

After several days I have noticed there is a slow down in both dl/up speeds would you recommend changing of the calucations?

How much of a slow down? Those settings should be perfect for your connection. Try power cycling your modem, also remember the internet has many factors that effect your speed that are out of your control.:) :D

Did you try the faster web page tweak in my Help & Tips link? After you set your NIC duplex mode reboot and see if your connection comes back, 10mb half should be the proper setting and I have never seen it cause someone to lose their connection. You did scan for spyware also didn't you?:D :)
