Using Outlook Express 6.

Since setting up mail on our new computer, I don't receive any files that contain .exe. I was going to send some of my stuff from my old computer to this one but I don't get the files, they are removed.

When I open the message it says at the top

OE removed access to the following unsafe attachment in your mail.

Is there a setting I've missed?

Thanks in advance:)

Found the setting in Options - Security, so I unchecked the box but now it won't apply the change?

That's one thing we can't do here Suzie.

There are a growing number of ISP's here that will not allow .exe files to pass. They are all stopped and returned to sender.

According to our ISP the only option and the recommended way is by zipping them up.

I guess they must have got a little sick of the complaints from people who didn't know the harm they can cause.
