i have tried several tweaking programs suggested by this site,
including the speedguide web patch, cablenut and others
i want to reset all concerned settings on my computer
it has done nothing but go downhill on speed
i have a amd k6-2 450, 256 mb ram , connection with cableone.net -->supposed to be a 800kb/s connection, my roommates comp. gets that, i dont(cablemodem split by a 3com home ethernet gateway router) running windows 98 se, internet explorer 6. i can handle manual registry editing, if that s what it takes. my roommates computer is identical in the network card, operating system and active running programs, but his is a 166mhz comp w/ about 48 mb ram. HELP!!! this is driving me nuts.
