raspppoe doesn't like me

sup all..

i'm trying to get raspppoe to work but, no luck yet..

i always end up with..

Registering your computer on the network

Error 720: The connect attempt failed because your computer
and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control protocols.

what's up with that?
on linux everything runs great.. on windows it only works with that enternet crap$%^ :(

i'm using win2k pro and a speedstream 5200, not using usb.. :)

i installed just as the manual tells you to..
what did i do wrong?

well, nevermind.. enternet obsiously screwed up something here..
after i reinstalled windoze raspppoe worked fine.. :D

raspppoe simply doesn't install after you install/uninstall enternet. those 4 windows telling you about driver certificates, etc, doesn't pop up..
but, it surely looks like it's there..


if any of you guys know about a fix for this.... shout (other than reinstalling everything.. gahhhh) :D

Actually this is the first report I've seen. I've nerv seen anyone who needed to reinstall Windows after uninstall Enternet so they could install RASPPPoE.

I have no idea what happened.. i'm blaming on enternet because that was the 2nd time i installed it, THEN, tried raspppoe.. and, both times, failed.
It "installs the driver" but doesn't prompt about the certificate thingie.. but when you try to use it.. well.. the msg is in my first post...

Seems like enternet craps out the registry.. (maybe the version i'm using is buggy.. or, perhaps, it's utter-crap ;))
