I am virus-free, trojan-free, have disabled QoS and have limited services running in Windows XP (I turned off Windows Time, Remote Access, etc.) but I get this all the time. I have an Intel Pro/100 LAN in my laptop, latest drivers, etc., etc. I rebooted, still happens. I unplugged the cable and then back in. Still the same. I reset the modem. Same. It's freaking me out. In fact, this screenshot was taken right after I'd reset the modem and opened the page here at SpeedGuide. I immediately had THIS many packets sent after just clicking on one link!

Are you using any messenger or p2p programs? Have you checked your system for spyware? Cleared cache and cookies?

Yes, I use AIM but with it off it still does it. No spyware, no P2P, cleared cache/cookies, everything.

The number is not correct. If the packets were of minimum length, it would take a little over one year to send that much data over a 10baseT network.

I suggest you remove and reinstall the networking componets of your operating system.
