................ for just a little while. I'm taking off Windows 2000 Small Business Edition and putting on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
Win2K SBE seemed to have a lot more services and overhead then I needed. I want a lean, mean, game serving machine. :D
When I start CFS3 the CPU stays around 60-70%, even when nobody is logged on.
IF all goes well, it'll be up and running later on tonight, maybe we'll get a couple of flights in.

Damn, sorry man, doesn't seem like it's gonna happen tonight. Too many things to get set up and tweaked right.
Maybe Sunday night.

It does/can...that's what I run at home, on top of just the server itself, you have IIS, ISA/ Firewall, Exchange (biiiiig hit there), shared fax, FTP, dunno if you installed SQL with the package, a few others....you can "stop" the services though, you'll see the performance perk right back up.

How many of you have CFS3?I have it myself could put a big server up?Was gonna host BF1942 but had a major change of plans during that time.
how fast of a connection do you need?
I have a p3 733 networked now with a 1.5/128 dsl line. Right now it's just folding and someday soon going to be mywebserver.
just curious.
