We have been playing Quake 3 on the school network. Then they blocked it. Now any game name or file with the name quake it is does not work. So we renamed the setup file so we could install it. Then renamed the .exe file so we could run that. The game starts up like it is going to run but then it says an error. Please help. I need to figure out how to get past the if that is even the problem with this error. If possible. please give a step by step response. Keep in mind editing sys files is not an option. Anything doing with c: is restricted. So i installed it on the student drive. Here is the error.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, sorry, but quit trying.

You're making some admin's job a pain in the ass. He's trying to make the network run smooth and you are trying to use up bandwidth with games.

I work on networks day in and day out, and I get tired of trying to stop people from doing things they are not supposed to do.

.....or do you just not care about being a pain in the ass to somebody?

Go to school and study. Learn new things. Read a book for a change.

Go home and frag all night long after you're finished with your homework.

Nuff said.

i believe that is a driver problem. install newest drivers or reinstall them. hopefully your school will let u do that
