Man...I was having all types of problems tonight.

First of all, my system really sucks balls. It keeps restarting out of nowhere right in the middle of dogfights.

Second, when I start my game up sometimes, my menu freezes up and doesn't let me CTRL+ALT+DEL out of it. I have to restart the system.

Third, (the weird), while we were playing the game, there would be like no one or just one person show up for me in the game. However, there were like 5 people and some of them are shooting me. I can't see them and I can't shoot them, however they can shoot me down. Weird.

Anyway....I'm loving the server Roundeye! That is definetely very awesome of you to have that up and running.

Thanks! :)

Thanks, :D

I rebooted it just now to see if it helps with the problems.

When the game is running the CPU stays at 60-70%, even when nobody is flying. Gets a little higher when everybody is on, plus it's overclocked. It's an 850 PIII @ 995.

We have to keep in mind about the connection, I also have four other PC's on it when everybody is home. This will cause some problems now and then with lag, I can't help that.

I want a DSL just to host the server with, but I can't afford that right now.

RoundEye, what is your connection now that you're hosting on? Meaning, what your ISP say you have, and what you've actually tested out on?

I have a dual CPU rig, on a DSL 1500/128 which tests at 700/110, perhaps I'll give it a go seeing if a server runs OK.

I was having some lag issues last night, and some other odd occurances. What would happen, is my view seemed to change to "auto-tracking"...meaning my head would start always tracking and facing the nearest enemy. I'd be in normal cockpit view...then just keep turning my head to keep the nearest enemy centered....instead of keeping my pilot facing directly foreward through the windshield. I can't find where to make sure that switch is turned off.

Hey Roundeye...no big deal. I was just getting mad when I was about 200' behind YOSC and I was getting shot. He was the only person I could see visually and via radar.

Oh well. Hopefully that fixes it. :)

I won't be around tonight to play at all. I have to do parent/teacher confrences tonight until 9pm. :(

Anyway...I'll be back in the skies on Friday afternoon/evening.

:D
