Well, I just formated my PC and forget to save the cable settings :)
Sorry :)

My connection is a 256/256 cable (well I'm not EXACTLY sure that is 256 of upload, maybe is 128, but I normally send up to 25k/s)

My ISP is irrelevant since I live in Brasil.

Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)
Note: Read the FAQ if the above is not your IP address.

TCP options string = 020405b401010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 8760
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 8760
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 350.4 kbps (43.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 140.16 kbps (17.52 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 117 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

2002-11-06 18:41:33 EST: 223 / 230
Your download speed : 223794 bps, or 223 kbps.
A 27.3 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 230547 bps, or 230 kbps.

(Please consider the fact that I'm living in Brasil =) )

Actually your speed right now looks pretty good;). First install the vtcp 386 patch (http://www.speedguide.net/files/vtcp386/236926USA8.EXE) then try the following settings in CableNut:

BcastNameQueryCount - 1
BcastQueryTimeout - 100
BSDUrgent - 1
CacheTimeout - 600000
DefaultRecvWindow - 17520
DefaultTTL - 64
EnableDNS - 0
GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize - 17520
KeepAliveInterval - 500
KeepAliveTime - 14400000
Lanabase - 0
LocalCopyMade - 1
MaxConnections - 64
MaxConnectRetries - 5
MaxDataRetries - 64
NameTableSize - 255
NameSrvQueryTimeout - 100
PMTUBlackHoleDetect - 0
PMTUDiscovery - 1
RoutingBufSize - 146432
RoutingPackets - 100
SackOpts - 1
SessionKeepAlive - 7200
SessionTableSize - 255
Size/Small/Medium/Large - 3
Tcp1323Opts - 0
TcpTimedWaitDelay - 30
MaxDupAcks - 2
DefaultTOS - 92
IGMPLevel - 2
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server - 8
MaxConnectionsPerServer - 4

If your speed drops then change your DefaultReceiveWindow & GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize back to 8760.
:D ;)

Hey mnosteele52,
Could you explain me why NIC card is better than USB? Because I'm using USB and wanna know why exactly NIC is faster.

USB is slower because it relies more on CPU cycles to function where as a NIC doesn't, USB is also more troublesome.:) ;)

My ping can get better if I change USB for NIC?
