Hello again I rarely post but troll alot )

I notice that alot of users seem to thing that Sygate is a better firewall then Zone Alarm. (free versions)

Any specific reasons that I should know about? I use ZA on 3 computers right now. 2 are behind a router the other is a direct connect via cable modem.

Would like to understand.

thanks!

From my experience ZA will slow your connection down, is a resource hog and can cause connection problems, Sygate on the other hand uses little to no resources and I have never had any bandwidth degredation using it. Both offer adequate protection when configured properly but the problem I have seen associated with ZA keep me from recommending it to anyone. I hope this helps, try Sygate.... you will love it.:) :D

Give Outpost a try.here (http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/)

I have tried both ZA and sygate. I thought ZA was decent but like mnosteele said, it was resource heavy. Sygate wouldnt load up about 5 out of 10 times. I have XP pro. Put outpost on here about 5 months ago and havent looked back, love the ad blocking it has also. :)

Just a thought.
