Real bummer. Mine averages $150 per month year round also.:(

Maybe we need to find some friendly aliens that have a cheap power source.:D

Chris, i know what you mean, during the summer which is like 9 months down here i have to run my air conditioning 24/7 to keep my place cool. that really kills the power bill for me.

How hard would it be to set up a small solar setup to run the boxes???
Might have to look in that direction a solar DC setup, hummmmm

I hear that, my last 3 electric bills have added up to over $850.00. The bills should be cheaper during the cooler months as the rates drop and I won't have to run the ac to cool the boxes. May even use the comps to help keep my house warm, heheh.

You really think it's the rig that's pulling the electricity? hmm i think i asked some technician before..they said 1 air condition runs for 1 hr equals like 50 computers runs for 1 hr....
But yea..i don't pay the bill, but my house electric bill for last 2 months was like..$750 CND ($470USD):eek: (AC or heat 24/7)

Exactly why I only do the folding when I am using the puter. I don't have AC but, now that winter is here I have to figure in the electricity for the furnace. Hell, if I even leave the house for 10 minutes the puter goes off.
