weird ping

hi:
this is something weird

i've been tryng latency test with ping and here is the deal:

i can ping to my isp ip getting around 200 ms (sucks)
i can't ping any other host (ej forums.speedguide.net)
also tried very near hosts and nothing, only my isp ip

what the heck? is it normal? is my isp blocking something?

but when i check the dsl reports speed tests i get around 2Mb down and 150 Kb up the other weird thing is that sometimes i get around 3.5Mb down 300 Kb Up . By the way i'm using the speedguide's tcp/ip optimizer.

what are u using to ping with


and when u say 2mb down adn 150kb up u mean mbps and kbps?


if ur isp was blocking SG i dont think u'd be able to post here.

im using dos ping command

no, i dont think my isp is blocking SG or any other host maybe only ping them.

no im not behind proxy, im connected to a linksys befsr41 router.

by the way i did a reverse ping and everything went fine until it reach my isp ip, it start doing hops between xxx.xxx.xxx.129 and xxx.xxx.xxx.130 about 15 times then the hop count went over.
