Is it just me or have the stats been having issues lately? I know statsman page wasn't updated for a day or so. But it seems like F@H's own stats are not being updates as often as normal either.

Lance

Looks like no updates from Stanford since about noon cdt today. Just means that when they do update there will be a BIG spike in everyones stats at that time.

Noticed a few others that have happened in the past when huge jumps in numbers happened.

Also anyone running KDFold, turned out that the problem that I was having everyonce in awhile with unable to open ARC file was a problem with it. Worked with the programmer and a new version is available to anyone having the problem. Just select No ARC in the Adv Settings page.

true I do remember there being spikes displayed on the statsman page in the past. Does statsman just get the stats from the F@H site or does it somehow collect its own data?

thanks for the tip on the KDFold ARC file.

Must use Stanfords data.

Checked Stanfords Team Stats for us and the last wu posted was 2002-10-23 07:04:22 PDT.

Which was 11+ hours ago now.

Relize computers go down, had a few do it to me, but just wish Stanford would post a note about it.

Been monitoring the folding forum and all posts over there have been from folders wanting to know the same thing, "What's being done to correct it?"

Consenus from their posts seem to be that the article about folding results that has been published caused such an influx of new folders that the Stanford servers just can't keep up.

Yeah, we are working on improving stats server. This is a kinda enjoyable pain (?), because the problem showed up with a sudden bump-up in the number of users.

Anyway, we are looking for a long term solution now, and soon it will be done.

Thanks for the patience!

Above was posted on folding bulletin board and just thought I'd pass it along.

Keep the faith.
