For the past 3 months I was having connection issues and periodic Lag.
Problem typically resulted in a 5 to 7 second total stop in receiving data. During worst times it would happen probably 2 to 4 times every minute.
I worked with sympatico support and every time they kept insisting the problem was at my END. Although I was quite sure the problem was at their end I did everything they asked of me to try and resolve the problem.
TO make a long story short, after about 2 months of trying to work out this intermittent problem, Sympatico still maintained the problem was at my end.
I decided to confirm my opinion that it was Sympatico's problem. Therefore I subscribed to a new ISP while I still was active with sympatico.
Guess what,, with the new ISP the problem is gone. With Sympatico the problem is there...... ;) I knew it was their problem.
I just wanted to post this incase anyone else was going thru the same frustration.
P.S. All I am saying is this resolved my issue, I am not saying changing ISPs would correct yours or that in your area you would even have the same problem. This is simply a FYI.
