View Full Version : Firewalls..
Have a firewall question for you techies. I have XP on my comp, which you know has a firewall built into it. I also have Norton Internet security as well. My other comp doenst have a firewall, that comp runs winME.. would I be compromising my comps security if I remove the norton firewall and put it on my other comp while using the XP firewall on this comp? I want to get both comps under a firewall and I despise ZoneAlarm with a passion.

Remove Norton and disable XP's firewall and use Sygate Personal Firewall (http://soho.sygate.com/products/shield_ov.htm) it's FREE and better than both of the one's you are using... also only use one firewall per pc, it's all you need.:) :D
OutPost Firewall (http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/)
why settle for the rest when you can have the best!!!(pro)
you will be very happy......:D ;) :D :D
Jest a minute there...
Are both these computers connected as a network?
Are you after a free firewall?
If so then go with Sygate and go through the configuration guide carefully.
The only Outpost Firewall that will work on a network is the Pro Version. The free version is for a stand alone application.
