I am using AOL (Verizon) DSL and can use my switch portion of my router to connect just fine, but when I try to use the WAN Port of the Belkin 4 Port Cable/DSl Gateway Router (Model F505230-4) I can't connect. I have used the WAN port to successfully connect to Earthlink DSL, so I don't think its a hardware problem.
Does anyone have any experience connecting to AOL High Speed using a router?

Firmware may comeout soon....check their website or try their tech support...Linksys routers firmware just came out with a version this past summer that supports AOL.
Normal DSL PPPoE or PPPoA will not with with AOL...they have their own unique authentication....of course.
I don't use aol/DSL but I have cable from roadrunning but still use AOL.try installing the new aol/8.0, I think it will get you through the wan port.it will install a PPPoE or PPPoA adapter for the network .
