Hello,
I had a problem with getting connected to the internet. So after checking all the settings, i got the advice from the helpdesk of my provider to delete and re-install the "communications" part in windows98. So i did and i was able to connect to the internet again.
I have a so called "basic ADSL connection" with a downstream of 54 kb per second and normally an upstream of 12 kb per second. This worked fine for 1 1/2 year.
However after the re-installation of the "communications" part on my windows98 machine, the downstream is still 54 kb per second. But the upstream is almost none. It takes 20 minutes to send out an email with attachement of 50 KB (IF it ever leaves) and also with FTP it takes 20 minutes to send away 50 kb. So i have no upstream.
Anyone familiar with this problem? Please advice and thanks in advance for the help.
