Illegal Operation???

When I try to open my Word Perfect 9 program it says the program has performed an illegal operation. When I click details it give me this message.

WPWIN9 caused a general protection fault
in module HPFC1615.DLL at 0001:00000ced.

when that message clears this message comes up

Cannot find the file......(orone of its componnets) Make sure that the path and file name are correct, and that ll libraries are available.


I'm working on a paper right now, and I need to clear this issue up ASAP.

just an idea maybe save your work and then reinstall word perfect 9 ?

I've tried that. The same thing happens when I open the file(s) using MS Word.

maybe try scan disk to look for errors on your hard drive ?

Looks related to a printer driver...you have an HP printer?

Download the latest print driver for your printer...install it.

Anyways, service pack Corel, and here's a link to this issue...

Glad to help....just chased down a similar WP problem a few days ago...so kinda fresh in my mind.
