I created a logo for our company website in paint.... The file size is too large. How can I convert or reduce the file size?
I want to avoid recreating it in another program.
thanks

Any chance it was a *.bmp and that you didn't try saving it as a *.jpg? Knowing what kind of file it was might help.

Complete info might help.....
I saved it in the default file format of paint......
.bmp I think.....
so the easiest way is to load the file into paint and resave it as a .jpg??
I know these are dumb questions but this is new to me.....
thanks

As you said you didn't want to use another program - try opening xxx.bmp in MS Paint and then "Save As" yyy.jpg and see what it looks like. If you aren't satisfied with it, let us know.
A simple, free program such as Irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/ will allow you easily resize or decrease the color depth. YOur choice will depend on what YOU wish to do with the image.
