Unable to remove program

I got this security software with my D-Link router call Freedom Security" made by Zero-Knowledge. I tried removing this program however it will not allow my to remove it through the Add/Remove Program wizard however it can not be removed.

anytime i try to access a program on my desktop i get a Fatal Error saying "cannot start freedom because the RESOUCE directory or one of its sub-directories is missing , please try to reinstall freedom

When I try to reinstall it wont allow.

try doing it in safe mode ??

tried safe mode , didnt work , but i did back the system up. When i hit F8 to boot to safe mode it had the option to "restore" to last known ......... i didnt choose it but now i cant get back to that when i hit F8 at boot up

If I backed up XP how can I revert back to when i saved at that point?

thanks guys , I guess ill have to find a different way to uninstall.

You can't uninstall might be because it's missing some files...so try to reinstall the program to the same directory, then uninstall it :)
