I notices that I have a relatively low WU count considering my score. How is score determined?

http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html every completed protein counts as 1 WU however points are awarded acording to the size of and the time it takes to complete the WU

So you are awarded for speed.
Hmmm... I feel as though my score is rather lame, if that were the case.

Well, yes and no. For a Project 180 work unit you are always going to recieve 5.60 "points" for it reguardless of whether you complete it in 12 hours or take the full 12 days allowed for that particular work unit to be returned. Speed is not a factor in the score for a work unit. This is the no part.

The yes part is, if you are only taking 12 hours to complete a 5.60 point work unit it would stand to follow that you would be able to complete more of these work units in a given time period and as such recieve more points on this machine. As opposed to a machine that took the full 12 days to complete a 5.60 point work unit.

According the to FAQ the points for a WU are set for a P3 400MHz to complete in 24 hours for 1 point. So a 2 point WU would take a P3 400MHz 2 days to complete. And even though a P180/2 WU say they are worth 5.60 points, I have never received anything but 5.59 points per WU on them?????

I had found it odd that I should have so many points with so few WU's, regardless of my assiduousness. Perhaps I have been mulling through tougher proteins.

Also think that the assignment computer's are programed so that when they find someone that can do the p180/2's quickly that they are weighted into giving them as many p180/2's as they can handle. 75% of all WU's that I've gotten have been the p180/2's
