A friend of mine is having a problem getting his download stats to appear when he's downloading any certain type of file. I.E. Transfer rate, how much remaining of file, time of file, ect.

All he is showing is a 'computer with down arrow'. Is there a place where you have to select to show the stats? My pc shows everything, but I have no idea if there is even a place to change it.

Does anyone have any idea's on where that might be?

Thanks for any help:)

how about downloading analog x? ro maybe statbar? i love them both. they give so much. you could also get a download manager if you really need to know how much is left and how much of the file you recived.

I think that might be my only option. Hopefully, that will fix it.

if that don't do it..
then you gotta get in to internet properties, Security, Internet custom and scroll down to enable downloads check. then click ok
exit internet properites.. then launch IE and download something.

Well...I tried what you said to do United, but same thing is happening. Oh well. Think I'll go ahead and uninstall - reinstall IE.

Thanks for all your help folks,

w00000000t!!! I fixed it!! I finally figured it out, lmao!!

It was happening just to .zip files that was causing the download box not to appear. Basically, I went into windows explorer/tools/folder options/file types/zip...and then click 'advanced' and selected 'confirm open after download' and boom!! its working!!

w0000000t!!!

Thanks for all your help peeps...much appreciated:)
