Is there a way to prevent vertical black bars from appearing on each side of a tv output of my video card? I'm trying to record a VHS tape, but black lines keep appearing on the sides, and the would-be 800x600 output looks more like it's 600x600 (squarish). When i try using an 8mm camcorder rather than a standard VHS VCR to record, the scan lines disappeared for some reason. Is there some compatibility issue, or is there a setting to change? Everything is NTSC.
