Under desktop - desktop effects, there is an option for hide menu access keys... what is that for?

There is also a 16 bit version of Aida that can be run from a boot floppy.
I install it on all my CD's and make them boot into a menu, and Aida is one of the choices. If windows won't load for whatever reason, Aida can be run from Dos.
