Hi all,
My question is this, i have cable 1 meg connection and until now ive had settings for the 512 connection. please could someone give me the correct settings that i can enter into TCP Optimiser to keep my connection working at its optimum. i.e MTU, Rc WINDOW or should i use the extreme optimised setting on TCP OPTIMISER?

for mtu you will want to use 1500
for rwin try 51100, 64240, 87600 : D rember if rwin is bigger then 65535 you need to check window scaling in sgoptimizer.

No, extreme settings are for very fast connections. Being extreme doesn't mean it will make your connection extremely fast.

For a 1mb connection try the following:

Settings tab:

select - cable modem
check - custom settings
network adapter selection - your NIC
check modify all adapters
maxmtu - 1500
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 32120 or 52560 or 64240
MTU Discovery - yes
Black Hole Detect - no
Selective Acks - yes
Max Dup ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options - uncheck both boxes*
(* if using TCP Receive Window of 65535 or higher check windows scaling)

Other Settings tab:

Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
Lan Browsing Speedup - optimized

Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect.
