About 3 weeks ago I noticed a huge slow down in my internet service (Cox cable). I did a few ping tests and noticed that my packet loss is anywhere from 50% to 100%. I called Cox and they sent out a silly technician who knew nothing about packet loss. He replaced the cable line to my house and changed the power option on my NIC. This did nothing to correct the problem. I've had problems with Cox before and really don't want to get back on the phone with them until I know that I've tried and done everything I can do all on my own.

So, can anyone out there try to help me? I've searched the previous posts and can't really seem to identify any sure solutions or things to try but I could be missing something.

Any help would be so great! Thanks so much!

well i had a similar problem. i had packet loss, tho only 25% or so. and my internet was sluggish. roadrunner had me bring back my modem and gave me different type. then they switched me to different, less populated routers and its all good again. /shrug sounds like this is a lobo/steele question. YO! LOBO! STEELE! Help this guys out here! :D :) ;) :p
