Hi All

I head a while back there was a way to uncap my cable modem so I could get better upstream speeds. Is that still possible? Im running a Surfboard SB3100 Internet Cable Modem. My ISP is AT&T ( attbi.com) I have no problem trying to do so. Hope One of you cable modem genuis's can help out. I do have some networking experiece and with mac address also

What Hybrid said, and...

When you uncap you take away bandwidth from other people who are paying for it. Cable is a shared bandwidth, so be a good neighbor. :cool:

We aren't the "internet cops" but uncapping is illegal and you WILL get caught by your ISP.... it's VERY simple for them to find out and when they do don't come back cying to us when they yank your service and fine you $$$$ and your back on 56K.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :cry:

Heh..Heh, I'm an internet cop!

I will be checking through HD's later to make sure there's no nasty stuff on them.
