cable connection problem, can someone help?

Hey guys, I am having problem with my cable internet, I hope some of you guys can tell me what happen.

I am using AT&T broadband and winxp, everytime when I maxed out my download speed or when I download and upload at the same time, my cable connection will timeout and lose the connection. After like 1 or 2 minutes, my connection works again, it didn't disconnect me from my cable internet company, so I think is not my provider's problem. Does this happen to anyone on xp? and can someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it.

doesnt sound like an XP problem, i have ATTBI and winXP

are ur settings normal? are u using usb or ethernet connection? if ur on usb and u have a NIC, try that.

u dont loose any lights on ur modem?

I am not using usb, I lost those 2 orange lights when my connection lost. Those 3 greens lights are still good when that happens, so i know it didn't disconnect from the host.
