Game controller setup

I just bougt me a logitech WingMan Cordless rumble controller. Im trying to set it up i set it up and im trying to use it on quake3. And when i set the controlls up the shooting and stuff works but when i set it up in the controlls in the controller software i set the little analog looking controlls on the bottom of the controller to walk but it does not walk. Anyone know what i need to set? Does anyone have some good controlls to set mine to?

I have same pad but never used it for quake be to hard dont even think quake would work with analog stick

quake is best as a keyboard game.
