When running Red Faction, this system locks up after only a few seconds of multi-player play. I have downloaded all the updated drivers for this computer, re-installed WIN 2000 Pro, upgraded to XP Pro, updated DirectX to 8.1, got the NVIDIA Detonator drivers and have had no luck. I tried deleting the game and re-installed on a different partition and still had the same results.
My event log shows 2 error messages saying these are missing or corrupt:
S32EVNT1.dll and iasperf.dll
I looked for these and couldn't find them or what they were for. Also the errors said something about this drive is not configured for audio and video playback??
This is all Greek to me, I'm just a dude that likes to play on the computer. I never knew you had to get a degree to play PC games online...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
