Just fired up my new computer w/WinXP. It has the MS Virtual Machine loaded on it but when I try to open some sites, I get a screen that says you have to have Java VM to view this site. At the bottom of the screen it says, 'download now', but when I click that button, it takes me to a MS site with a message saying, "We're sorry but Microsoft has discontinued the Java VM support". So do I just find the Java VM on some other site and download it anyway? Does it cause a conflict with the MS VM?

MS and Sun lawsuit is reason why MS yanked Java. Yes- Suns version works fine at http://java.sun.com/getjava/ , or, I have the last (latest) MS version of msjavx86.exe if you need it.

Just go to Sun's website and download the latest version of Java and install it.
