please help
What is up,
Verify the Microscoff File and Print Sharing services are installed on both. Disable Firewalling on the XP machine, I think its enabled by default. Ensure your both in the same workgroup and have network connectivity (Ping). You should then be able to browse network neighborhood.

ok here is the deal
XP Machine works Fine:
I can see and use anything on the 98 machine
98 Machine Doesn't Work:
I can find the XP machine thru "Start, Find"
but I can't view it or anything and Network Neighborhood says nothing available
Anybody help?
Enable netbios over tcp on the XP system.
You must have a user account for the W98 machine set up on the XP machine, with the same logon credentials.
For example, if you logon to the W98 machine with username John Doe, and password ABC123, then you must set up a user account with those same credentials on the XP machine.
